Dear God, A-Rod,
what did it take so long
to swallow pride and say you lied
admitting you'd done wrong?
 
Dear God, A-Rod,
why did you have to cheat?
You had it made each time you played.
We cheered you from our feet.
 
Dear God, A-Rod,
you didn't need to use.
You were a star just as you are
with not a thing to lose.
 
Dear God, A-Rod,
how could you let them down?
Your young fans ache to know you're fake.
They'll never trust you now.
